Small to Mid Size Palm Tree Removal

There are a couple of techniques to remove a palm tree depending on whether you want to remove it in pieces or as a whole to not kill it. If you decide to keep it alive you will need a tree space. A tree space is a piece of equipment that burrows blades around the tree and into the soil, this will allow you to remove the palm tree with the roots and move it to another place without stress on the tree. You can rent a tree space on a rental house. However, most people don’t feel comfortable using this type of equipment and would hire a professional tree remover to remove it this way.

If you decide to cut it in pieces you will need a chainsaw. You can also rent a chainsaw at a rental house if you choose not to buy one.  The proper way to remove a palm tree is to cut it a the bottom with the chainsaw starting at the opposite site of where you want it to fall. Once the palm tree is on the ground, cut it into pieces. To remove the stump get a shovel and dig around it until the roots are exposed and with a root saw cut the roots and pull them out.  Another way to remove the stump is with a stump grinder; you can rent one at a rental house for about $150 a day. A stump grinder will get rid of the stump in a few minutes and it is a lot easier than digging around the stump and is the most cost effective way if you need to remove several palm trees.
